Nashville Hot Mozzarella Sticks

panko breadcrumbs

Instructions
Prepare cheese sticks
Cut mozzarella into sticks about 1 cm thick and 8-10 cm long.
Set up breading station
Prepare three bowls: flour in first, beaten eggs in second, and panko mixed with cayenne, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar and salt in third.
Bread the mozzarella sticks
Coat each mozzarella stick first in flour, then egg, then spicy panko mixture. Press crumbs firmly to ensure good coating.
Fry the sticks
Heat oil to 180°C and fry mozzarella sticks in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy.
