Classic Chocolate Cake

Chocolate Frosting
unsalted butter

powdered sugar

Instructions
Preheat oven
Preheat oven to 175°C and prepare two 20 cm round cake pans.
Mix dry ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
Mix wet ingredients
Add milk, oil, eggs and vanilla to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
Bake the cakes
Divide batter evenly between prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes.
Cool the cakes
Let cakes cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
Make chocolate frosting
Beat butter until creamy, add powdered sugar and cocoa gradually, then add milk and vanilla.
Assemble and frost
Place one cake layer on plate, spread frosting, add second layer and frost top and sides.
