Preheat oven to 175°C and line a 20cm square baking pan with parchment paper.

Mix dry ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together gluten-free flour and baking powder until well combined.

In another bowl, cream softened butter with granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.

Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract, mixing until combined.

Alternate adding the flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with flour. Mix until just combined.
