Homemade Onion Rings
Crispy golden homemade onion rings with a perfect crunchy coating and tender sweet onion inside.

Instructions
Prepare the onions
Peel and slice the onions into 1cm thick rings, separating each ring carefully.
Make the batter
Whisk together flour, milk, eggs, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Heat the oil
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot or fryer to 180°C.
Coat the onion rings
Dip each onion ring in batter, then coat with breadcrumbs.
Fry the onion rings
Fry coated rings in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
Drain and serve
Remove rings to paper towels to drain excess oil, then serve immediately.
