Prepare the steak

Pat the steak dry and season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

Cook the steak

Heat a heavy pan over medium-high heat and sear the steak 3-4 minutes per side until desired doneness.

Rest the steak

Remove steak from pan and let it rest while preparing the sauce.

Cook the pasta

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fettuccine until al dente.

Make the Alfredo sauce

In the same pan used for the steak, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.

Add heavy cream, bring to a gentle simmer, then stir in grated parmesan until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
