Honey-Glazed New Potato
A simple warm side dish with tender potato and a light honey glaze.
A quick, sweet-savory potato side dish that is soft inside with a glossy honey finish. It works well as a snack or a simple accompaniment to grilled mains.
Equipment
Ingredients
Main
potato (whole, raw)
1 piece
honey (liquid)
1 tbsp
salt (fine)
0.25 tsp
Instructions
Prep the potato
Wash the potato well and scrub off any dirt. If desired, peel it, then cut it into even bite-size pieces or leave it whole if it is small.
Boil until tender
Place the potato in a pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Cook until the potato is just tender when pierced with a knife, then drain well.
Glaze with honey
Return the drained potato to a bowl and drizzle over the honey and salt. Toss gently until the surface looks evenly coated and glossy.
Serve warm
Transfer to a plate and serve immediately while warm and lightly sticky.
Storage
Best eaten fresh. If refrigerated, store in an airtight container and reheat only once.
Notes
• Estimated from the visible ingredients in the image.
• A small amount of salt is included for balance, though the label in the image shows only potato and honey prominently.
