Instructions

Prepare vegetables

Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic.

Sauté aromatics

Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until fragrant.

Add pasta and sauce

Add dry pasta, tomato sauce, salt, pepper and enough water to cover. Stir to combine.

Cook the pasta

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until pasta is al dente and sauce has thickened.

Finish and serve

Remove from heat. Stir in grated parmesan and fresh basil if using. Serve immediately.

Fridge: 2 days
Freezer: 30 days
Reheat: Microwave 2-3 minutes or reheat in pan with splash of water

Best eaten fresh, but can be stored and reheated. Add a little water when reheating to loosen sauce.
