Prepare the vegetables
Peel and grate the potatoes and onion.

Remove excess moisture
Place grated potatoes and onion in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out as much liquid as possible.

Combine the squeezed vegetables with egg, flour, salt and pepper in a bowl.

Form the mixture into flat, round patties about 1 cm thick.

Heat oil in a pan and fry the patties on medium heat until golden and crispy on both sides.
