Candy Coating

glucose syrup

gold edible glitter

green apples (washed, dried)

Instructions
Prepare apples
Wash and thoroughly dry 4 green apples. Insert wooden sticks into the stem end of each apple.
Make candy coating
Combine sugar, glucose syrup, and water in a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Heat over medium-low without stirring.
Add gold glitter
When the candy reaches the correct temperature and large slow bubbles appear, remove from heat and gently stir in the gold glitter.
Coat the apples
Working quickly, dip each apple into the hot candy mixture, rotating to coat evenly. Allow excess to drip off.
Cool and decorate
Place coated apples on parchment paper to cool completely. Once cooled, dust with additional gold glitter for extra shine.
