Prepare ingredients
Chop the onion and mince the garlic cloves.

Heat olive oil in a large pot and sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.

Cook pasta
Add pasta, tomato sauce, salt, and pepper to the pot. Add enough water to cover the pasta. Bring to a boil, then simmer until pasta is cooked.
