Instructions
Prepare mixing bowl
Set up your workspace with a large mixing bowl for the chicken patty mixture.
Mix chicken patty ingredients
Combine ground chicken with egg, mayonnaise, and all seasonings in a large bowl until evenly distributed.
Form chicken patties
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into round patties slightly larger than the buns.
Prepare breading station
Place panko bread crumbs in a shallow dish for coating the patties.
Coat patties in breadcrumbs
Press each patty into the panko breadcrumbs, ensuring both sides are well coated.
Heat cooking pan
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
Fry chicken patties
Cook patties for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 74°C).
Toast the buns
Lightly toast the sesame seed buns in a dry pan or toaster until golden.
Assemble the McChicken sandwich
Spread mayonnaise on both bun halves, add the crispy chicken patty, top with shredded lettuce.
