Strawberry Glazed Donuts
Ingredients
Dough
active dry yeast (dry)

whole milk (warm)
180 ml
granulated sugar
50 g
unsalted butter (melted)
60 g
large egg (room temperature)

all-purpose flour
400 g
salt

Glaze
powdered sugar
200 g
whole milk
45 ml
vanilla extract
5 ml
Filling
fresh strawberries (hulled, sliced)
400 g
granulated sugar
50 g
Instructions
Activate yeast
Dissolve yeast in warm milk with a pinch of sugar.
Mix wet ingredients
Combine melted butter, egg, remaining sugar and salt with yeast mixture.
Knead the dough
Gradually add flour and knead until smooth and elastic.
First rise
Cover and let dough rise in a warm place until doubled.
Prepare strawberry filling
Combine sliced strawberries with sugar and let macerate.
Shape the donuts
Roll dough to 1 cm thickness, cut rounds, make a slit in the center.
Fry the donuts
Deep fry in oil at 180°C until golden on both sides.
Make the glaze
Whisk powdered sugar, milk and vanilla until smooth.
Glaze and fill
Dip warm donuts in glaze, then fill the slit with strawberry mixture.
Storage
Best eaten fresh. Store in airtight container.
