White Sauce Macaroni

Instructions
Boil the macaroni
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the macaroni until al dente.
Prepare the roux
Melt butter in a pan, add minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute to form a roux.
Make the white sauce
Gradually whisk in cold milk, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
Add cheese and combine
Stir grated cheddar into the sauce until melted. Add drained macaroni and mix well to coat evenly.
Serve hot
Transfer to plates and serve immediately while hot and creamy.
