Instructions
Prepare Ingredients
Slice tomato and onion, wash lettuce leaves, prepare pickles if using.
Form Beef Patties
Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions and gently form into patties about 1.5 cm thick.
Cook Beef Patties
Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 3-4 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 71°C for medium.
Add Cheese
Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking and cover the pan to melt the cheese.
Toast Burger Buns
Lightly toast the burger buns in the same pan or on a griddle for 30-60 seconds until golden.
Assemble Cheeseburgers
Place cooked patty with melted cheese on bottom bun, add tomato slice, onion, lettuce, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
