Instructions
Preheat oven
Preheat oven to 175°C.
Melt chocolate and butter
Melt chocolate chips and butter in the microwave until smooth. Set aside.
Mix egg mixture
In a bowl, add egg, egg yolk, sugar and vanilla bean paste.
Whisk egg mixture
Whisk together until smooth.
Add flour and salt
Add flour and salt and mix until combined. Do not overmix.
Combine mixtures
Pour melted chocolate and butter mixture into the bowl and fold until smooth.
Prepare ramekin
Grease an 8 inch ramekin and pour in the batter.
Bake lava cake
Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until the top has set.
Serve
Enjoy immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
