Dice the onion and mince the garlic cloves.

In a bowl, combine ground beef with diced onion, minced garlic, salt and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.

Form the patties

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties about 2 cm thick.

Heat the pan

Place a pan over medium-high heat and let it get hot.

Add the patties to the hot pan and cook for 4 minutes per side for medium doneness.
