Instructions
Preheat oven
Preheat the oven to 175°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cream butter and sugars
In a large bowl, beat softened butter with granulated and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add egg and vanilla
Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
Mix dry ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda and salt.
Combine wet and dry
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
Add chocolate chips
Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Scoop and bake
Scoop small portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 5 cm apart.
Cool and serve
Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
