basmati rice (cooked)

Prepare the rice

Cook basmati rice if not using leftover rice and set aside to cool completely.

Fry the paneer

Heat oil in a wok and fry paneer cubes until golden on all sides.

Sauté aromatics

In the same wok, sauté garlic, green chillies and onions until fragrant.

Add vegetables and sauces

Add bell pepper, ketchup, soy sauce and seasonings, then stir-fry for 2 minutes.

Combine rice and paneer

Add the cooled rice and fried paneer cubes to the wok and toss everything together until well coated.
