Instructions
Heat treat the flour
Microwave the flour in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until it reaches 71°C to kill bacteria.
Cream butter and sugars
In a bowl, beat the softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add wet ingredients
Mix in the vanilla extract, milk and salt until well combined.
Combine flour and chocolate chips
Gradually add the heat-treated flour and fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Chill and serve
Refrigerate the dough for 15 minutes to firm up, then enjoy straight from the bowl or roll into balls.
