Instructions
Prepare the dough
In a bowl, combine flour, cream cheese, olive oil, flax seeds, chopped basil and salt. Gradually add warm water and knead until a smooth dough forms. Use very little water to bind the dough.
Rest the dough
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
Prepare the topping
Slice the tomatoes and shallots. Mix the shallots with honey. Prepare the cream cheese spread by mixing it with mustard and breadcrumbs.
Assemble the tart
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Roll out the dough on parchment paper. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the dough. Arrange tomato slices on top, followed by the honey-shallot mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
Bake the tart
Brush the edges of the dough with egg yolk. Bake in the preheated oven at 200°C for 20 minutes until golden brown.
Finish and serve
Remove the tart from the oven. Top with torn burrata, drizzle with olive oil and garnish with fresh basil. Serve warm with a side of lettuce and cured ham for a balanced meal.
