1 piece

Tomatoes (wedged)

4 piece

Red onion (sliced)

1 piece

Green bell pepper (sliced)

1 piece

Base ingredients

Extra virgin olive oil

60 ml

Dried oregano

2 tsp

Sea salt

1 tsp

Toppings

Kalamata olives (pitted)

200 g

Feta cheese (cubed)

200 g

Instructions

1

Prepare vegetables

Wash all vegetables thoroughly. Cut cucumber into thick half-moon slices, tomatoes into wedges, thinly slice red onion and green bell pepper.

8 min
Cut vegetables into large, rustic pieces for authentic Greek style.
2

Mix salad

In a large bowl, combine all prepared vegetables. Add Kalamata olives. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with oregano and sea salt. Gently toss to combine.

3 min
Don't overmix to keep vegetables intact.
3

Add feta and serve

Arrange cubed feta cheese on top of the salad. Do not toss. Serve immediately with crusty bread.

4 min
Traditional Greek salad has feta on top, not mixed in.

Storage

Fridge: 2 days

Best eaten fresh. If storing, keep feta separate and add just before serving. Do not freeze.

Notes

Authentic Greek salad contains no lettuce. Use high-quality extra virgin olive oil and Greek feta for best flavor.

Adjust salt carefully as feta and olives are salty.
