Chocolate Chip Cookies
Classic chocolate chip cookies with golden edges and chewy centers, loaded with melty chocolate chips.

Instructions
Preheat oven
Preheat oven to 190°C and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Cream butter and sugars
In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla
Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract until well combined.
Combine dry ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Combine wet and dry ingredients
Gradually add dry ingredients to butter mixture and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
Add chocolate chips
Fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Scoop cookie dough
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them 5cm apart.
Bake cookies
Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown but centers are still soft.
Cool cookies
Let cookies cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
