Instructions
Mix the dough
Combine water, yeast, and sugar first, then add flour, salt, and oil to form the dough.
Coil fold the dough
Perform coil folds multiple times to develop gluten without traditional kneading.
Let the dough rise
Cover the dough and allow it to rise until doubled in size.
Divide and shape pretzels
Divide the risen dough into 4 equal pieces, roll each into a long rope, and shape into the classic pretzel form.
Prepare boiling solution
Bring a pot of water to a boil and add salt and baking powder to create the alkaline bath.
Boil the pretzels
