Instructions
Prepare the Nutella sheet
Line an 8x8 pan with parchment paper and spread Nutella into a thin, even square the size of the pan.
Freeze the Nutella layer
Place the Nutella sheet in the freezer until solid.
Preheat oven
Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C) and line/grease an 8x8 pan with parchment.
Mix the wet ingredients
Whisk melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, then whisk vigorously for 1-2 minutes.
Add dry ingredients
Stir in cocoa powder and salt until fully combined. Mix in oil, then gently fold in the flour until just combined.
Add chocolate chips
Fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Assemble the layers
Spread half the batter into the greased pan. Place the frozen Nutella sheet on top, then spread the remaining batter over it to cover completely.
Bake the brownies
Bake for 35-40 minutes until a toothpick near the center comes out with no wet batter but slightly moist crumbs.
Cool completely
Let the brownies cool completely before adding topping.
Add topping
Spread a thin layer of Nutella over the cooled brownies, add strawberry slices all over the top, and drizzle with more Nutella.
