Prepare garlic

Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves.

Make the sauce

Heat olive oil in a pan, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add tomato sauce, salt and pepper, and simmer gently.

Cook the pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta until al dente according to package instructions.

Combine and serve

Drain the pasta, toss it with the sauce in the pan, and serve immediately topped with grated parmesan and fresh basil.
