Instructions
Activate the yeast
Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let sit until foamy.
Make the dough
Add melted butter, vanilla, egg, and egg yolk to the yeast mixture. Mix until combined, then add flour and salt.
Knead the dough
Knead until smooth and elastic. Use olive oil on hands if sticky instead of extra flour.
First rise
Place dough in greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled in size.
Prepare the filling
Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and crushed Oreos until combined.
Roll out the dough
Roll dough into a large rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
Add the filling
Spread melted butter over the dough, then sprinkle and pat in the filling mixture.
Shape the rolls
Slice dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each piece into a cinnamon roll.
Prepare bottom layer
Mix melted butter, heavy cream, brown sugar, and crushed Oreos. Spread evenly in greased baking dish.
Arrange rolls
Place the 8 cinnamon rolls over the bottom layer in the baking dish.
Second rise
Cover and let rolls rest for 30 minutes.
Add heavy cream
Pour remaining heavy cream evenly over the rolls before baking.
Bake the rolls
Bake at 175°C for 20-25 minutes until golden and cooked through.
Make the frosting
Whip softened butter and cream cheese until fluffy. Add vanilla bean paste and powdered sugar, whip until smooth.
Frost the rolls
Spread frosting over warm rolls. Top with extra crushed Oreos if desired.
