Instructions
Prepare brownie batter
Melt butter, whisk with sugar, cocoa, eggs and vanilla, then fold in flour and salt.
Prepare cookie dough
Cream butter with sugars, add egg and vanilla, then fold in dry ingredients and chocolate chips.
Assemble brookies
Spread brownie batter evenly in the pan, then drop cookie dough in dollops and gently spread to cover.
Bake brookies
Bake until the cookie layer is golden and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cool and slice
Cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
