Instructions
Brown the butter
Cook butter in a saucepan until it turns golden brown and develops a nutty aroma.
Cool the brown butter
Transfer browned butter to a bowl and let it cool for 10 minutes.
Mix wet ingredients
Combine cooled brown butter with both sugars, then add eggs and vanilla.
Mix dry ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Combine wet and dry ingredients
Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture and stir until just combined.
Add chocolate chips
Fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Chill the dough
