Instructions
Prepare the oven and baking sheet
Preheat the oven and line a baking sheet so the cookies bake evenly and release cleanly.
Mix the dry ingredients
Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
Cream the butter and sugars
Beat the softened butter with both sugars until light and fluffy, then mix in the egg and vanilla.
Finish the dough
Fold the dry ingredients into the butter mixture, then stir in the chocolate chunks. Do not overmix.
