Equipment
Ingredients
Main ingredients
flour tortilla (whole)
1 piece
cream cheese (softened)
2 tablespoon
grated cheese (grated)
40 g
sausage (sliced)
1 piece
Optional fillings
tomato (diced)
0.5 piece
onion (thinly sliced)
2 tablespoon
bell pepper (thinly sliced)
0.25 piece
olives (sliced)
6 piece
ketchup (for serving)
1 tablespoon
Cooking fat
oil for the pan (for frying)
1 tablespoon
Instructions
Prepare the fillings
Slice the optional vegetables and sausage so everything is ready for assembly. If the sausage is raw, cook it first in a pan until fully done, then slice it.
Assemble the quesadilla
Spread the cream cheese over one half of the tortilla, then add the grated cheese and the other fillings. Fold the tortilla over to form a half-moon and press gently.
Crisp in the pan
Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat, then cook the quesadilla until the bottom is golden. Flip carefully and cook the second side until the cheese has melted and both sides are crisp.
Serve
Transfer to a plate, cut into wedges if desired, and serve hot with ketchup or another dip.
Storage
Best eaten fresh for maximum crispness. Store tightly wrapped after cooling completely.
