Creamy Horchata

Instructions
Soak the rice
Place rice and cinnamon sticks in a bowl and cover with water. Let soak for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Blend the mixture
Transfer the soaked rice mixture to a blender and blend until smooth.
Strain the horchata
Strain the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a pitcher.
Sweeten and flavor
Add milk, sugar, and vanilla extract to the strained liquid. Stir until sugar dissolves.
Chill and serve
Refrigerate the horchata for at least 1 hour before serving over ice.
Storage
Stir before serving as separation may occur. Best consumed within 3 days.
