Italian Sauce Pasta

Instructions
Prepare ingredients
Peel and mince the garlic. Chop the onion. Grate the parmesan cheese.
Boil the pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
Prepare the sauce
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add tomato sauce
Pour in the tomato sauce. Season with salt and black pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes to let flavors combine.
Combine pasta and sauce
Drain the cooked pasta and add it directly to the sauce. Toss to coat evenly. Serve hot, topped with grated parmesan and fresh basil leaves.
