Instructions
Prepare ingredients
Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and finely chop onion, garlic, and ginger.
Marinate chicken
Mix chicken with half of the garam masala, turmeric, salt, and a little oil. Let it marinate while you prepare the sauce.
Sauté aromatics
Heat oil and butter in a pan. Add onion, garlic, and ginger. Cook until onions are soft and golden.
Cook chicken
Add marinated chicken to the pan and cook until lightly browned on all sides.
Add spices and tomato sauce
Stir in remaining spices and tomato sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes to develop flavors.
Finish with cream
Pour in heavy cream and simmer for another 5 minutes until the sauce thickens and chicken is cooked through.
Serve
Serve hot with rice or naan bread, garnished with fresh cilantro if desired.
