Instructions
Prepare marinade
Mix buttermilk, hot sauce, mustard, egg, and spices to create a flavorful marinade.
Marinate chicken
Place chicken tenders in the marinade and let them soak for at least 30 minutes.
Prepare dry batter
Mix flour, corn starch, baking powder, and spices in a large bowl.
Create wet batter
Take 2 cups of dry batter into another bowl, add sparkling water and 2 eggs to create a wet batter.
Heat oil for frying
Heat oil in a deep pot or wok to 175°C for frying the chicken tenders.
Coat chicken tenders
Remove chicken from marinade, coat first in dry batter, then dip in wet batter, and coat again in dry batter.
Fry chicken tenders
Fry coated chicken tenders in batches for 6-8 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
Prepare honey garlic sauce
Melt butter in a pan, add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, then add jalapeño powder, hot sauce, and honey.
Toss chicken in sauce
Toss the fried chicken tenders in the honey garlic sauce until fully coated.
Serve immediately
Plate the honey garlic chicken tenders and serve hot.
