Mash the bananas

Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.

Mix the batter

Add peanut butter, cacao powder and baking powder to the mashed bananas and stir until well combined.

Prepare the baking dish

Line a baking dish or oven-safe glass container with parchment paper. Pour the batter into the dish and spread evenly. Add the dark chocolate chunks on top if using.

Bake the brownies

Bake at 180°C for 20-25 minutes until the top is set and a toothpick comes out mostly clean. Let cool slightly before slicing.
