Cream butter and sugar

Beat the butter for a few minutes, then add the sugar and eggs one at a time.

Add dry ingredients and milk

Gradually add the sifted dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg) alternating with the milk.

Add grated apple

Finally, fold in the grated apple.

Prepare the baking pan

Butter and flour a rectangular pan or line the bottom with parchment paper. A 20 cm round pan also works.

Bake the cake

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake at 190°C for about 35 minutes, until golden brown.

If the top browns too quickly but the center is still raw, cover with aluminum foil to finish baking
