Tiramisu
Creamy, delicious and unbelievably easy tiramisu made with coffee-soaked lady fingers, sweet mascarpone cream, and cocoa powder dusted on top.

Cream Mixture
heavy whipping cream (cold)

mascarpone cheese (room_temperature)
225 g
granulated sugar

vanilla extract

Coffee Soak
cold espresso (cold)
360 ml
coffee flavored liqueur

Assembly

cocoa powder

Instructions
Prepare the cream mixture
Beat the whipping cream with sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form, then fold in mascarpone cheese.
Prepare coffee soak
Combine cold espresso and coffee liqueur in a shallow bowl for dipping the lady fingers.
Dip and layer lady fingers
Quickly dip lady fingers in the coffee mixture on both sides and arrange in a single layer in an 8x8 inch dish.
Add first cream layer
Smooth half of the mascarpone cream mixture evenly over the lady fingers layer.
Add second lady finger layer
Dip remaining lady fingers in coffee mixture and arrange as second layer.
Add final cream layer
Spread remaining mascarpone cream mixture evenly over the second lady finger layer.
Dust with cocoa powder
Generously dust the top with cocoa powder using a fine mesh strainer for even coverage.
Chill before serving
Refrigerate the assembled tiramisu for at least 3-4 hours or overnight to allow flavors to meld.
Original recipe
Storage
Make completely but don't dust with cocoa powder before freezing. Thaw overnight in refrigerator and dust with cocoa powder before serving.
Notes
• Tiramisu can be made with or without alcohol
• Other alcohol options include dark rum, brandy, or marsala wine
• For alcohol-free version, simply omit the liqueur
