Instructions
Cook the pasta
Cook the cavatappi pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
Mix seasonings
In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic salt, bouillon powder, and black pepper. Divide the mixture in half.
Make the roux
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and stir in half of the seasoning mixture. Add flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Add milk and cream
Slowly whisk in the whole milk and heavy cream until the mixture is smooth. Add the remaining seasoning mixture.
Melt the cheese
Turn off the heat. Gradually add cheddar and mozzarella cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
Combine pasta and sauce
Drain the pasta and add it to the cheese sauce. Stir until evenly coated.
