Instructions
Prepare dry ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Cream butter and sugars
In another bowl, beat softened butter with both sugars until light and fluffy.
Add egg and vanilla
Beat in egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
Combine wet and dry
Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
Fold in chocolate and nuts
Gently fold chocolate chips and chopped walnuts into the dough.
Chill dough
Cover and refrigerate the dough for 10 minutes to prevent spreading.
Portion cookies
Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake cookies
Bake in preheated oven at 190°C for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden.
Cool on sheet
Let cookies rest on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
