Strawberry Glazed Donuts
Ingredients
Dough
all-purpose flour (sifted)
500 g
granulated sugar
50 g
active dry yeast

whole milk (warm)
250 ml
large egg
1 piece
unsalted butter (melted)

Strawberry Filling
fresh strawberries (hulled, sliced)
400 g
granulated sugar
50 g
Glaze
powdered sugar
200 g
whole milk
45 ml
vanilla extract
5 ml
Instructions
Prepare the dough
Mix warm milk with yeast and a pinch of sugar. Let it sit until foamy.
Knead the dough
Combine flour, remaining sugar, salt, egg, melted butter, and yeast mixture. Knead until smooth and elastic.
First rise
Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled in size.
Prepare strawberry filling
Cook sliced strawberries with sugar over medium heat until thickened and jammy.
Shape the donuts
Roll out dough to 1 cm thickness. Cut into rounds with a hole in the center.
Second rise
Place shaped donuts on a tray, cover, and let rise for 20 minutes.
Fry the donuts
Heat oil to 180°C. Fry donuts in batches until golden on both sides.
Fill the donuts
Let donuts cool slightly, then pipe or spoon strawberry filling into each.
Make the glaze
Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
Glaze and serve
Dip filled donuts in glaze and let excess drip off. Serve immediately.
Storage
Best enjoyed fresh the same day. Store in airtight container at room temperature.
