Viral Dot Cake

powdered sugar (dry)

Instructions
Preheat oven
Preheat oven to 175°C and prepare the cake pan.
Cream butter and sugar
Beat softened butter with granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Mix dry ingredients
Combine flour and baking powder in a separate bowl.
Combine wet and dry
Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, mixing gently.
Add vanilla
Stir in vanilla extract.
Bake the cake
Pour batter into prepared pan and bake until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool the cake
Let the cake cool completely in the pan.
Make cream cheese frosting
Beat cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
Color the frosting
Divide frosting and tint with different food colorings to create rainbow dots.
Decorate the cake
Pipe or dot colorful frosting on top of the cooled cake in a dotted pattern.
