Instructions
Prepare ingredients
Slice the onion and tomato, wash and dry lettuce leaves.
Form beef patties
Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions and form into patties. Season with salt and pepper.
Cook the patties
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 3-4 minutes per side until desired doneness. Add cheese during the last minute to melt.
Toast the buns
Lightly toast the burger buns in the same pan or toaster until golden.
Assemble the burgers
Place cooked patties on bottom buns. Top with sliced onion, tomato, and lettuce. Add condiments if desired. Cover with top bun.
