Creamy Garlic Potatoes in the Oven

Instructions
Preheat the oven
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Parboil the potatoes
Cut the potatoes into thin slices and parboil them in boiling water for about 5 minutes.
Prepare the cream sauce
Melt the butter in a pan, add minced garlic, then pour in the cream. Season with salt, pepper and optional nutmeg. Stir well.
Assemble the dish
Arrange the parboiled potato slices in a baking dish. Pour the cream sauce evenly over the potatoes.
Add cheese and bake covered
Sprinkle the grated mozzarella cheese on top. Cover with foil and bake at 180°C for 20 minutes.
Uncover and brown
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the top is golden brown.
