Instructions

1

Prepare the strawberries and onion

Wash and hull the strawberries, then slice them into quarters or halves depending on size. Thinly slice the red onion into half-moons. Place both in a bowl.

5 min
💡 Slice strawberries just before assembling to prevent excess juice from making the salad soggy.
2

Prepare the toppings

Roughly chop the nuts if whole. Crumble the cheese into small pieces. Set aside.

2 min
💡 Toast nuts lightly in a dry pan for 2-3 minutes for enhanced flavor (optional).
3

Make the balsamic dressing

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until emulsified and smooth.

3 min
💡 Taste and adjust seasoning. Add more honey if you prefer sweeter dressing.
4

Assemble and serve

In a large salad bowl, add spinach, prepared strawberries, red onion, nuts, and cheese. Drizzle with balsamic dressing and gently toss to combine. Serve immediately.

5 min
💡 Don't overdress the salad - add dressing gradually and toss gently to avoid wilting the spinach.
