Better than Takeout Orange Chicken

Instructions
Prepare chicken
Cut chicken breast into bite-sized cubes. Season with salt and pepper.
Coat chicken
Whisk egg in a bowl. Dip chicken pieces in egg, then coat with cornstarch.
Fry chicken
Heat vegetable oil in a wok or deep pan. Fry chicken in batches until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
Prepare orange sauce
In a bowl, mix orange zest and juice, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic and ginger.
Combine and simmer
Pour sauce into a pan, bring to a simmer. Add fried chicken and toss until coated and sauce thickens.
Garnish and serve
Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot with rice.
