Instructions
Brown the butter
Melt butter in a saucepan until it turns golden brown and develops a nutty aroma.
Prepare banana bread batter
Mix mashed bananas, cooled brown butter, sugar, eggs, flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined.
Make brownie filling
Mix melted brown butter, chocolate, sugar, eggs, flour, cocoa powder, and salt until smooth.
Assemble layers
Pour half the banana bread batter into a loaf pan, add brownie batter, then top with remaining banana bread batter.
Bake the bread
Bake at 175°C for 55-65 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
Cool and serve
Cool for 20 minutes, slice, and serve with melted butter and flaky sea salt.
