Chinese Steamed Bao Buns

Instructions
Prepare the dough
Mix flour, yeast, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Add warm milk and melted butter, then knead until smooth and elastic.
Let the dough rise
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
Prepare the filling
Finely chop onion, garlic, ginger and green onion. Mix with ground pork, soy sauce and sesame oil until well combined.
Divide and shape the dough
Punch down the risen dough, divide into 8 equal pieces, and roll each into a ball. Flatten each ball into a disk.
Fill and pleat the buns
Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each dough disk. Pleat and seal the edges to form a bun.
Steam the buns
Place the buns in a steamer lined with parchment paper. Steam over boiling water for 12 minutes until puffed and cooked through.
Rest and serve
Turn off the heat and let the buns rest in the steamer for 2 minutes before serving.
