Instructions
Prepare ingredients
Dice the onion and mince the garlic. Shred the cheddar cheese if not pre-shredded.
Brown the beef
Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula.
Add aromatics
Add diced onion and minced garlic to the browned beef. Cook until onion becomes translucent and fragrant.
Add liquids and pasta
Pour in tomato sauce, beef broth, and milk. Stir in elbow macaroni and seasonings. Bring to a simmer.
Simmer the pasta
Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer covered for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
Add cheese and finish
Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy. Let rest for 2 minutes before serving.
