Instructions
Prepare cheese sticks
Cut mozzarella into sticks approximately 1 cm wide and 8 cm long.
Set up breading station
Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs mixed with milk, and one with panko breadcrumbs.
Bread the mozzarella sticks
Coat each mozzarella stick in flour, then dip in egg mixture, and finally roll in panko breadcrumbs. Repeat for a double coating.
Chill the breaded sticks
Place breaded mozzarella sticks in the freezer for 15 minutes to firm up before frying.
Prepare Nashville hot seasoning
Mix cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, brown sugar, and salt in a small bowl.
Fry the mozzarella sticks
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 180°C. Fry the breaded sticks in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per batch.
Coat with Nashville hot seasoning
Immediately after frying, toss the hot mozzarella sticks in the prepared Nashville hot seasoning mixture to coat evenly.
Serve
Serve immediately with ranch or marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
